Nowadays, it is pretty easy to take some images, put them into a tool, record some audio and call that a digital story. However, there is more to the process of creating a meaningful digital story. The process of creating is when the learning takes place. Before having students create digital stories, it's important to practice evaluating digital storytelling products. That way we'll be able to separate the good, the bad and the in betweens.


Evaluation Stories

Review these stories and rate them high, medium, low. Keep in mind both the content and the craftsmanship of the stories. Try to determine which communication type the story is addressing.
